Cookies Policy

Some information to begin

Why do we provide you with this Cookie Policy? In the interests of transparency, we want you to know more about the origin and purpose of the information processed when you browse our site, and the rights you have with regard to cookies and other tracking devices used by our website.

Tracking devices and cookies may indeed be deposited on your browsing device when you visit our website https://www.scan-avocats.com/.

Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information contained in it.

What are we talking about?

Cookies and tracking devices are small computer files that are deposited and read when you visit websites, read an e-mail, install or use software or a mobile application, regardless of the terminal you use.

Your browsing device is the device you use to surf the Internet (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.).

There are different cookies, which correspond to different uses: session cookies that disappear when you leave a site, audience analysis, saving a shopping basket, automatic translation of the website language, adaptation of the website to the screen format of the device used, etc.

How does it work?

Cookies and tracking devices are generally only deposited when you have consented to them, using the settings module on the banner of our website, which you can access at any time by clicking on the cookie icon at the bottom left of your screen.

You can thus revise your choices at any time, by going back on the consents you have given or by finally accepting a cookie that you had initially refused. Other cookies are exempt from the need to obtain your consent, as they are purely technical and/or functional cookies.

Other ways to manage cookies are described below.

Purpose of cookies

The cookies we use on our website are for the following purposes:

  • Store and update a unique value for each page visited
  • Filtering requests from robots;
  • To distinguish unique users by assigning them a randomly generated number as a customer ID in order to analyse traffic on our website;
  • Memorise the language settings.

List of cookies

The cookies used on the website are selected by SCAN Avocats for a limited number of specific purposes.

These cookies are the following:

Cookies and consent

When you visit our website for the first time, you will be given the opportunity to accept or reject the cookies that you wish to have deposited on your browser terminal.

You can also give us your preferences by specifically accepting or rejecting each cookie through our consent management platform, which is available:

  • By clicking on the SET UP button on the banner, this button is located in the center of the banner that is displayed on your first visit
  • By clicking on the cookie button at the bottom left of your screen while browsing, this button being always visible even after the use of the module accessible in the banner displayed on your first visit (see above).

You can thus choose to accept all cookies globally, to refuse them globally, but also to go back on your choices if you change your mind and accept or refuse them one by one.

Some cookies are accepted by default, or not subject to your consent insofar as they are solely intended to enable or facilitate communication between our website and your device, or strictly necessary for the provision of online communication services, at your express request.

These are purely technical cookies, as identified in the table above.

If you do not want cookies to be installed or read on your device, an opt-out cookie will be placed on your device so that we can record the information that you have objected to the use of cookies.

If you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the installation of cookies: we will then ask you again when you visit our website, as if you were visiting it for the first time.

If you choose to accept cookies, an opt-in cookie will be placed on your device and if you delete it, we will also ask you again.

The refusal or acceptance cookies should ideally remain on your device. If you wish to further set your choices, we recommend that you use the module that we have deployed for this purpose.

We store your preferences for 6 months.

Other options for setting cookies

Browser settings

In addition to the consent management plateform we provide, you can also directly configure your browser to accept all cookies, to reject them systematically or to choose the ones you wish to have installed on your terminal.

You can also periodically delete cookies from your terminal via your browser.

Remember, however, that this setting must be made on each of the terminals and browsers you use.

The settings for each browser are different, here are some examples:

However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the settings of your browsers may cause the functionalities of certain websites to malfunction or become inaccessible, for which we are not responsible.

Publishers’ opposition modules

Some third-party publishers have their own module for opposing the cookies they deposit on various websites. You can thus systematically oppose their deposit. For example, the Google Analytics cookie opposition module is available at this address: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr
